I love my Aloe Vera plant, I call her Vera. I like that she’s not needy or high maintenance and can do without much care. I sometimes forget to water her for a couple weeks, but she can take the neglect. When I do take care of her, she can outgrow her pot within a year and I need to transplant her or at least thin her out.
I always try to give away her shoots. Aloe Vera plants are hardy and prolific which makes them a great starter plant. I have lost track of all the Aloe Vera starters I have given away.
Not what we give,
But what we share,
For the gift
without the giver
Is bare.
James Russell Lowell
Give away your hope, your joy, your love, and your lunch to others. You will probably find you have plenty left for yourself.
